A Night to Honor Peggy Dark October 23, 2016

A Night to Honor Peggy Dark – a Great Success!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Arboretum’s Oct. 23rd Night to Honor Peggy Dark. All totaled, nearly 200 guests enjoyed the sumptuous cuisine artfully prepared by the Kitchen for Exploring Foods, who underwrote the dinner. Many others who couldn’t join us sent in their contributions and good wishes. The evening provided wonderful support new Arboretum education programs including the new Children’s Learning Patio and Next Generation Science Field Study program – soon to launch at the Arboretum.

Despite a little drizzle, attendees’ spirits were not dampened. The magical evening, set in the Celebration Garden, was augmented by the performance of MUSE/IQUE, under the direction of conductor Rachael Worby.

The thank yous run deep. First and foremost is the amazing committee who worked on this event for many months. Thank you for your time and talents. Our appreciation goes to:

Of course, the event would not be possible without the generous support of our many sponsors. In addition to The Kitchen for Exploring Foods, was our Media Sponsor the Outlook Newspapers. Additionally, we are grateful to our top level sponsors for their tremendous support: Alyce and Warren Williamson, Kellogg Garden Products, Offsite IT, Ellen and Harvey Knell, and Terri and Jerry Kohl. We also thank the Wells Fargo Foundation and Rose Hills. Please see below for a complete list of the evening’s sponsors.

The biggest thank you, however, goes to Peggy Dark – a tremendous Arboretum friend and hero who made the entire night possible. Peggy thank you for your support, your good humor, and for being a champion for youth education! We adore you, and it was a thrill for all of us at the Arboretum to celebrate your many contributions.
