We are on a journey to not only see the plants in our garden, but to taste them too. In this adult only night hike, we are on a hunt for the plants that make some of our favorite flavors. We will make our way through the garden tracing our way through the history of the spice road to the spices that make up coca-cola. Along the way we will get to taste medieval hard candies, play with marshmallow mucilage and discover which of our favorite candies were first created to cure what ails you. We will also answer some of life’s most mysterious culinary questions. What did bubble gum taste like in the ancient Aztec empire? Why doesn’t banana candy taste like bananas? and what exactly is a blue raspberry? We will discover them all on this journey through the world of desserts.
*This program is for adults 18 years and up.
*Advance online registration is required for Adult Night Hikes. We do not allow any drop-ins or walk-ups. Please arrive 10 minutes before class to ensure you are not left behind! Refunds will not be granted to registered guests who miss the class due to tardiness.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Cancellations must be requested in advance of one week prior to the program start date in order to qualify for a refund. Cancellations requested within 7 days of the class start date will not qualify for a refund. The Arboretum does not offer credit or reschedules for missed classes. If you are unable to cancel within the required refund window, please consider your program fee a donation to the garden. Your registration confirms your understanding of and agreement with this policy.
