Embrace the changing of the seasons with our autumn cyanotype workshop led by artist and naturalist Brooke Sauer. Learn to make bewitching sun prints using a variety of materials evoking the energy of fall. You will never look at those leaves on the ground in quite the same way after this enchanting workshop!

About the Artist: Brooke Sauer is a Los Angeles-based artist working in painting, printmaking, and alternative photographic methods Brooke is an avid hiker and butterfly whisperer and spends much of her time learning about the natural world first-hand and reflecting on our symbiotic connection to it. Her unique cyanotypes integrate science and art by combining very old photographic printing process (cyanotype) with her background in painting and her love of botany an the outdoors. Brooke received her BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and her MFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Her work has been featured in numerous interviews, magazines and exhibitions internationally.

Cancelations must be requested in advance of one week prior to the program start date in order to qualify for a refund. Cancellations requested within 7 days of the class start date will not qualify for a refund. The Arboretum does not offer credit or reschedules for missed classes. If you are unable to cancel within the required refund window, please consider your program fee a donation to the garden. Your registration confirms your understanding of and agreement with this policy.
