Enjoy the Arboretum in the early morning! Steve Gerischer, garden     designer, president of the board of Pacific Horticulture Foundation and avid birder, will take the class on a walk around the grounds of the Arboretum, spotting and identifying many local birds.

The group will continue on to the classroom (Bamboo Room) to discuss the numerous birds seen in the Los Angeles basin, and hear tips on attracting birds to your home garden.

While the Arboretum is home to many birds, it is also a stop-over for many bird species migrating through the area, and a great place to       familiarize yourself with the basics of birding and field identification.

If you have binoculars, please bring them along and be sure to wear walking shoes.
