In this workshop we cover the basics, everything from seed to cup! Learn a little about the history of this great beverage, where it grows, how it is processed, what happens during roasting and how that affects the taste, regional flavor profiles, and more! Then we wrap it up with a coffee tasting!

Develop and sharpen your palette in this unique workshop! Engage in the cupping process, and learn to evaluate fragrance & aroma, acidy, body, and finish. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you may come to be able to distinguish regional differences, and some of the finer notes in coffees from around the world!
As a grower, roaster and importer of premium specialty coffees, Jones Coffee Roasters has been sharing its passion for fine beans with retailers and wholesalers in the Pasadena area and beyond since 1994. Their workshops cover everything from seed to cup and are tailored to challenge everyone from the beginning coffee enthusiast, to the veteran coffee professional. Cancellation & Refund Policy
The Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the class non-viable. If the Arboretum cancels a class, registrants will be offered a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations within 7 days of the start of the class. For all other cancellations, your payment will be refunded minus a 10% processing fee.
*LATE ARRIVAL POLICY: Refunds will not be granted to registered guests who miss the class due to tardiness.
