Lion Dance at 1pm
We celebrate the year of the dragon with special Chinese New Year activities from 9am – 2pm. Included in paid admission; members free. Purchase tickets in advance here.
Highlights of the day are:
9am – 1pm – Red Envelope seed give-away (While supplies last)
9am-3pm – Special Library exhibit
1pm – Lion Dance and Kung Fu Demonstration by Fong’s Kung Fu
1pm – 3pm – Dragon puppet craft
2pm – Library tour of Chinese New Year-related plant and book exhibit in the library.
1pm – 2:30pm – Dragon Egg Workshop for children (Registration and fee required)
Come cheer for our lion as it rolls, eats cabbage, and sleeps. The lion dance is joyful and loud. In Chinese culture, it is said to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits.
Help us fill our New Year Wish Tree with red envelopes. Write a wish or intention for the new year!
