Zoom. Crescent Farm: Water Conservation through Regenerative Gardening

Located in Zoom

About this Zoom class

For more than five years now Crescent Farm has focused on water conservation techniques, new and traditional, as well as drought tolerant plants and landscapes.  Register here.

Join Crescent’s Interpretative Horticulturist John Latsko for a virtual presentation about how Crescent’s water saving and other horticultural techniques have transformed the once nutrition-starved, compacted lawn area into a vibrant regenerative landscape. Learn how we’ve adapted to changes and continued to foster community! Register here.

Crescent Farm was created in 2015 from a nutrition-starved, compacted lawn. At just-under an acre, Crescent was transformed through topographical changes (alterations to the contour of the landscape) designed to infiltrate water, build healthy soil and create rich, biodiverse habitat. With an emphasis on three important elements – water, carbon-sequestration and habitat – the Crescent has become a truly regenerative landscape. Register here.

Tune in on Saturday, March 13, at 10am as John shares Crescent’s successes and engages in a live question and answer session.
