Crescent Farm workshops are made possible (and free) through grant funding! Join the conversation surrounding our regenerative garden.

April 13, 10am-12pm

ALL PLANTS NATIVE
We will discuss all the native plants in the Crescent‘s collection. We will tour and spotlight the newest additions. We’ll share hacks about planting, establishing and maintaining native wildflowers, perennials, shrubs and trees. Crescent Farm’s Interpretive Horticulturist, John Latsko, will lead the workshop. This workshop will be held onsite at the Crescent.

June 22, 10am-12pm

INSECTS OF THE CRESCENT-Zoom Interview

Join our in-house insect expert, Foundation Gardener – Roger Carlson.  We will learn about the insects recorded by citizen scientists on iNaturalist. We’ll discuss pollinators (with many surprises) as well as ‘pests’ and invasive insects. We’ll share fun visuals and lists. This workshop will be held on Zoom. The link will be emailed to registered participants 24 hours prior to event.

November 16, 10am-12pm

LASAGNA MULCHING

Hands-on workshop at the Crescent includes details about the value of this tried-and-true method of soil-building and weed suppression! Come get into it with us! Be prepared for a lots of hands on fun. Bring gloves. This workshop will be held onsite at the Crescent.
