Family Night Hike: Gross Gardens
About This Event
September 14th: 5:30-7pm Gross Gardens
Flowers are beautiful! And DISGUSTING! In this family friendly night hike, we are going to go looking for some of the nastiest plants that grow in our garden. What plants are known for their particular stinkiness? What plants are prized for their root-mucus and what others are feared for their disgusting dining habits? However, everywhere there is a mess there is an opportunity. As we explore some of the more unsavory residents in the garden,we will also go looking for some of the wee critters that help us keep our environment clean. While we hike, we will have the opportunity to touch, smell, poke and taste some of our nastiest plants in all their glorious grodiness.
