Family Night Hike: The Luck O’ the Garden
The Luck O' The Garden
March 28,
5:30-7pm
Why do we knock on wood, wish on dandelion fluff, or search for four-leaf clovers? Inspired by St. Patrick’s Day and the folklore of leprechauns, this enchanting night hike explores plants and animals long associated with luck, protection, and good fortune.
As dusk falls, wander the garden discovering fairy-linked oak trees, wish-worthy dandelions, lucky shamrocks, bamboo, garlic, and rosemary—along with animals believed to bring fortune, from ladybugs to bats. Blending myth, culture, and natural history, this evening walk reveals how deeply luck is rooted in the living world.
Join us after dark and follow the stories where nature and legend meet.
