The work of 120 artists will featured and available for sale at our Opening Reception & Auction For Forces of Nature II, Friday, December 1 6-9pm. You’ll find original, one-of-a-kind art made of wood from trees lost at the Arboretum. Be the first to see the art which will be sold during our live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Arboretum Tree Fund to plant our next generations of trees. Tickets are $20 members; $25 general public.
Five years ago, the first Forces of Nature exhibit featured art created from trees toppled in the 2001 windstorm. Proceeds from that show benefited the Arboretum Tree Fund. Many of our trees since then have been ravaged by drought and disease. Forces of Nature II is our tribute to these lost trees. The exhibition continues to December 10.
