In partnership with the Arboretum, Kris Keys guides participants through an exclusive watercolor painting experience utilizing the therapeutic qualities of florals to catalyze self-discovery. Kris’ swift flow of painting focuses on the release of endorphins while she calmly imparts beginner water coloring technique. Through sharing the discoveries of her own journey, Kris cultivates a uniquely luxurious practice that both uncovers and deepens intrapersonal understandings of creativity, healing, and reflection in order to improve overall wellness. All materials will be provided!
About the instructor:
Kris Keys is an interdisciplinary artist and fashion designer who captures her audience with swift, vibrant, and sultry strokes of watercolor paint. Her diasporic work tells stories through a mixture of historical context, fashion and art. Kris has taught meditative watercolor painting workshops with brands such as The Peninsula Hotel Tokyo, Kamalaya wellness spa in Koh Samui Thailand, Browns Hotel London, Nars cosmetics, Harlem’s Fashion Row, and Friends of the Highline New York. Her work and story has been featured in publications for the Daily Memphian, CNN, University of the Arts London, ArtUp, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and The Lancet Hematology to name a few. Kris holds a degree in fashion design and technology from London College of Fashion and a degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Tennessee at Martin. See her work and learn more here.

Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult who is also registered for the class.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
The Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the class non-viable. If the Arboretum cancels a class, registrants will be offered a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations within 7 days of the start of the class. For all other cancellations, your payment will be refunded minus a 10% processing fee. Please arrive 10 minutes before class to ensure you have time to check in! Refunds will not be granted to registered guests who miss the class due to tardiness.
