8-Week Session Dates: April 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, 19, 26, June 2
Explore oil painting against the rich backdrop of the Arboretum gardens. Under the coaching of Ron Pettie, you will learn skill building exercises, watch demos, and develop your individual artistic expression while completing 2-3 paintings.
En plein air is a French expression that means “in the open air.” It is used by artists to describe the art of outdoor painting, capturing landscapes and views in natural light.

*Minimum age limit is 12 years old. Must be accompanied by a participating adult who is also registered for the class.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Cancelations must be requested in advance of one week prior to the session start date in order to qualify for a refund. Cancellations requested within 7 days of the class start date will not qualify for a refund. The Arboretum does not offer credit or reschedules for missed classes. If you are unable to cancel within the required refund window, please consider your program fee a donation to the garden. Your registration confirms your understanding of and agreement with this policy.
