Pruning Plumeria
Pruning Plumeria
Saturday, April 18, 2026; 10am-1pm
Shape, trim, bloom! Pruning a plumeria tree is an art, not just a task. Join us for a hands-on workshop at the Los Angeles Arboretum’s breathtaking plumeria grove, where you’ll learn the essential techniques for shaping and trimming your trees with precision. Our expert instructors will guide you through the why, how, and where of pruning, ensuring you understand the best practices for healthy, beautiful blooms. After detailed demonstrations, you’ll get the chance to work alongside experienced grove volunteers to prune one or more of the Arboretum’s magnificent trees. Cuttings from the pruned trees are given to workshop attendees to practice callousing and rooting at home. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a plumeria enthusiast, you’ll leave with the skills to help your plumeria thrive.
