Join us for a hands-on children’s workshop celebrating the magic of autumn! Participants will explore pumpkins and succulents while creating their very own living fairy garden inside a real pumpkin. Kids will delight in the ooey-gooey fun of scooping out their pumpkin before planting it with succulents and adding whimsical fairy-sized decorations.
Take the magic home with you—each child will leave with a one-of-a-kind pumpkin fairy garden to enjoy throughout the fall season.
Creative, messy, and nature-inspired, this workshop combines gardening and imaginative play for a magical autumn experience.
First Workshop: 1-2:30pm
Second Workshop: 3:00-4:30pm
Event Details:
-This workshop is intended for children ages 4-10 years old.
-Children must be accompanied by one adult guardian. Due to restricted space, please limit registration to only one adult per child.
-Adult guardians wishing to make their own pumpkin fairy garden must purchase a ticket in addition to their child’s ticket.
-Adults who are simply accompanying their child should select the “Adult Guardian Only” ticket.
–This program is outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Hats are encouraged. Apply sunscreen and insect repellent as needed.
-Event tickets include garden admission- feel free to explore the grounds before or after your program.
Day Of Details:
-The event will take place at the Learning Patio, which has its own private entrance adjacent to Ayres Hall in the north end of our main parking lot.
-Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to event start time.
-Weekends can be busy, so please plan enough time to find parking and walk to event location.
-Supplies are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Arriving on time ensures that you enjoy the full program experience.
-Event will be cancelled due to weather related concerns and participants will be notified.
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Cancelations must be requested in advance of one week prior to the workshop start date in order to qualify for a refund. Cancellations requested within 7 days of the workshop start date will not qualify for a refund. The Arboretum does not offer credit or reschedules for missed classes. If you are unable to cancel within the required refund window, please consider your program fee a donation to the garden. Your registration confirms your understanding of and agreement with this policy.
