Spring Flower Crown Workshop
About This Event
April 21
3:30-5pm
Flower crowns have a long history. The Ancient Greeks wore them to celebrate the gods and as a symbol of victory or power. Ancient Romans donned flower crowns to welcome spring. Queen Victoria wore a flower crown at her wedding, which catapulted the flower crowns into fashion. From China to the Ukraine to the hippies in the 60s, flower crowns have long been a symbol of love, fertility and celebration.
Join us to make a magical floral accessory to celebrate spring at the Arboretum, while sipping a refreshing Italian soda.
