Join us for an evening of dark, natural enchantment! While enjoying themed cocktails and roaming slight-of-hand magic, guests will delight in music, tarot card readings, trick or treating, and a little nature-based mayhem. Get up close and personal with a family of snakes and other reptiles and learn about their predation skills. Take a microscopic look at cool insect carcasses, creepy water microbes, fungi, pumpkin guts, and more. Pet our resident Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches and red wiggler worms and learn about the incredible ways they decompose rotting material. Visit our table of nature oddities and hear about their weird histories, tour the mysterious Spiny Forest path, make giant ghost bubbles in the night, and enjoy a special candlelight reading of Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven” in the gazebo. Come experience the garden in a whole new light- Or should we say a whole new dark!

Please arrive 10 minutes before event to ensure you have time to check in! Refunds will not be granted to registered guests who miss the class due to tardiness.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
The Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change an event due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of an event cancellation or change, registrants will be notified and be offered a full refund or a reschedule.
The Arboretum cannot accommodate refunds, cancellations, or reschedules within 7 days of the start of the class.
