Trees of October walking tour
About This Event
Fall is the time for the World Series and for a series of beautiful flowering trees to bloom at the Arboretum. This all-star plant is our floss silk trees, Ceiba speciosa. Come and admire these beauties and learn from Frank McDonough, Botanical Information Consultant, about the four selections of floss silk trees introduced to Southern California and the United States by the Arboretum. Also find what other close relatives of the floss silk grow at the Arboretum and their fascinating history as both an old world, and new world trees.
