Tropical Greenhouse Walking Tour

About This Event

Is the winter cold got you thinking about a tropical vacation? We have the perfect place for a mini-tropical vacation, our Tropical Greenhouse!  Spend a few minutes in warm air and high humidity and learn about some important plants like the vanilla orchid, cocao plant and allspice tree.  Admire the red Mangrove tree and hear about it’s important role in habitat preservation.  Check out the Tortoise-shell yam, dumb cane and Rangoon creeper as you enjoy the tropical air.  It’s a great way to discover interesting plants and keep warm and dry!

Advance online registration for ticket is required. If there is room, we will allow walk-ups. Tour includes admission to the Arboretum. You are welcome to stay after the tour and enjoy the garden. 

Cost:

Arboretum members are free but must register here and show valid membership card to enter.

Non-members must purchase tour tickets here which includes admission.

Space is limited to 15 participants.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

The Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation reserves the right to cancel a tour for rain or other circumstances which would make the tour non-viable. If the Arboretum cancels a class, registrants will be offered a full refund.
