Tropical Greenhouse Walking Tour
About This Event
Our Tropical Greenhouse is the perfect place for a mini-get away! Take a docent-led walking tour. Spend a few minutes in warm air and high humidity and learn about some important plants like the vanilla orchid, cocao plant, and allspice tree. Admire the red Mangrove tree and hear about its important role in habitat preservation. Check out the Tortoise-shell yam, dumb cane and Rangoon creeper as you enjoy the tropical air. It’s a great way to see some very rare, highly endangered species. Docent-led walking tours available at 9:30 and 10am on the select days listed below. Reservations recommended.
