I Dig the LA County Arboretum!

Member Loyalty Program

We want to celebrate with you and thank you for your patience and sustained member support during our Baldwin Lake & Tule Lake restoration journey.

We are excited to share the I Dig the LA County Arboretum member loyalty program with all our members who join us on the historic journey to a restored Baldwin Lake!

Your Sustained Support Matters!

Member support is essential in caring for our Arboretum, including its 127 acres of gardens, historic landmark buildings and many educational programs. Maintaining your support as we build a better Arboretum for the future is critical to our ability to ensure the entire garden is stunning post construction.

The Baldwin Lake restoration, which begins Summer 2026, will be the largest infrastructure improvement project since the Arboretum’s founding more than 75 years ago. A fully restored Baldwin Lake will be a monumental improvement for our members, visitors, and wildlife to enjoy for generations to come.

We want to celebrate with you and thank you for your patience and sustained member support on our restoration journey! The I Dig the LA County Arboretum member loyalty program consists of a collectible set of pins along with opportunities for once-in-a-lifetime Arboretum experiences for all members who sustain their support during construction.

Here’s How It Works

All active Arboretum Members are eligible to receive an I Dig collectible pin as the main construction period begins on September 1 and for all who keep their membership active through the end of construction/ribbon cutting (anticipated in October 2027) they will receive a celebratory Journey Ends pin to complete the set! Both pins are 1 ½ inches in diameter.

Pin 1, the I Dig pin renderingPin 1, the I Dig pin, is bright and whimsical, with a shovel to reflect the construction, surrounded by all the remaining beauty and nature still available to enjoy. From aloe and plumeria flowers, to the male valley carpenter bee and rufous hummingbirds, to the native oaks and ginkgoes, to monarch butterflies and peacocks. You can wear this with pride and proclaim how much you dig the Arboretum! Members can stop by the membership office after September 1 to receive this pin.

Pin 2, the Journey Ends pin renderingPin 2, the Journey Ends pin, celebrates the end of our construction journey and our fully restored Baldwin Lake. Featuring imagery of the lake, the view of the Queen Anne Cottage, and the wildlife returning to enjoy their new home. It includes the year of completion, making this a true collectible. Members who have remained active from September 1, 2026 to the end of construction/ribbon cutting (anticipated October 2027) can receive the second pin and complete the set.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Experiences

All members who remained active for the duration of the restoration will automatically be entered into a drawing for some amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experiences that include:

Boating on Baldwin Lake: Set on the Historic lawn, members will enjoy picnicking, special treats and surprises, and a first-ever boat ride on our newly restored Baldwin Lake.

Afternoon Tea on the Queen Anne Cottage Veranda: Enjoy music, tea, tasty nibbles, and scenic vistas overlooking our beautiful new Baldwin Lake.
