How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase your tickets online via Eventbrite.
Tickets are also available to purchase at the Arboretum Membership Office.
When are tickets available to purchase?
Online tickets are available now to the general public and Arboretum Members.
What if I can’t use my ticket?
Moonlight Forest tickets and Arboretum memberships are not refundable. In the event you are unable to use your ticket, please consider your purchase a donation to the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Federal Tax ID 95-1582650. Moonlight is a rain or shine event.
Can I change the date of my tickets?
Choose your date carefully!
If you are not able to attend your initial date you can still change the date of your tickets. Please note regular transaction and ticketing fees apply to transfers.

I have a problem/question with my ticket purchase. Who do I contact?
Please go to “Contact Organizer” at the check-out page of your purchase on Eventbrite.
I am late for the time I purchased my ticket for. Can I still enter the festival?
We strongly advise you plan on arriving at the venue 15 minutes prior to your entry time, spare enough time for parking and going through ticket/security check.In order to provide you with the best Moonlight experience, entry is granted based on the time designated on your ticket, rather than when you arrive at the festival. For the 7pm entry, you will be allowed to enter 15 minutes prior to that time, no earlier. If you arrive later than your ticketed time, you will be admitted.
Can I see the Moonlight Forest both during the day and at night with one ticket purchase?
Moonlight Forest and Arboretum admissions are separate.
Moonlight Forest is an event with live performances and light installations that are best viewed at night. Moonlight Forest admissions start at 5:30pm
If you visit the Arboretum during the day regular Arboretum admission prices apply. The Arboretum is open 9am to 5pm with admissions closing at 4:30pm daily.
The Arboretum opens at 8am for members.

The date I want is sold out. Can I buy tickets at the box office, day of?
If the date you want to attend is sold out, cheer up! Because you can still visit the festival if you use a rideshare app such as LYFT or UBER to get to the Arboretum. All you need to do is to present your ride receipt showing the date and time of your visit at the box office and you can purchase up to 4 tickets.
What if a friend or family member drops me off? Can I still buy a ticket?
No. Sold-Out Day Sales are only available for rideshare apps.
VISIT
How long is the walkthrough Moonlight Forest?
The exhibition route is a gentle 1 mile long and takes about 1 hour to walk through. This is a walking event, there are no shuttles or vehicles.
Can I touch the lanterns on display?
The lanterns are considered works of art. Please do not touch, sit or climb on the displays.
Is there ADA access at the Moonlight Forest?
It is accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility assistance devices. Wheelchairs are not provided.
Is there food and drinks? May I bring food from outside?
There is a great selection of food trucks and multiple bars at the festival site.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
May I take photos?
Yes! Please use hashtag #MoonlightForestLA – We want to see your photos! While waiting for that perfect shot please do not block pathways or the view of others. No tripods please but selfie sticks are allowed (please include our hashtag!). Photographs and videos are not to be used for commercial purposes.
No night commercial photography is allowed during Moonlight Forest.
Will I be able to take my personal event photos during the day i.e. portrait,engagement, wedding, quinceañera, pregnancy photos while the lanterns are up? Would I need to pay the $50 permit?
Yes permits are required during the day. The lanterns are subject to copyright. Professional photographers are prohibited from using lantern images to promote or market their businesses. Permits will not be issued at the front desk after 2:30pm. The permits are not valid after 4:30pm. The Arboretum grounds will be cleared at 5pm daily.
May I bring a pet to Moonlight Forest?
No. The Arboretum does not allow animals, except for ADA-designated service animals. No bikes or running please, as this is a walking event only.
Am I allowed to smoke during Moonlight Forest?
Smoking is not permitted in the exhibition or anywhere on the Arboretum grounds.
May I drop off my teenage kids?
No, visitors under 18 of age must always be accompanied by an adult.
PARKING
Is there parking at the event?
There is limited parking on site. PARKING IS FREE. Street parking IS NOT available at any time. We highly recommend you use a rideshare service such as LYFT or UBER.
We provide additional parking on high attendance days. When the Arboretum lots are full, please follow staff directions and signage to additional parking lots with free shuttles.
Where do I park?
FREE PARKING is available at three different parking lots at the Arboretum at all times during the festival. Parking staff will direct you to the next lot or additional lots (on days available) as they are filled.Click on the links below for directions to each parking lot.

Is there a dropoff area for rideshare?
Yes! The Depot Lot is the designated dropoff and pickup area for Uber and Lyft.

Is there a limit to how many tickets I may purchase as an Arboretum Member?
Yes, there is a total 6 ticket limit per purchase whether you are a member or not. You may make more than one purchase.
As a member, can I purchase tickets for non-members?
Yes, up to 6 tickets.
I am a member of a reciprocal garden through the American Horticultural Society. Do I receive the member discount?
No, only Arboretum members receive the special evening discount.
