BOOZY BOTANY
How did the rise of prohibition lead to soda fountain drug culture? Why was absinthe demonized and glorified in Victorian Europe? How did the gin and tonic keep the age of sail afloat? Join us for a uniquely educational experience as we walk the garden and explore the plants that birthed some of our favorite alcohol elixirs while sipping little tastings of each. Our journey will culminate with a short demonstration on how to create homemade hooch using simple household items and botanic bits that can be found around town. Cheers!
Must be 21 or older to attend, ID’s required
