Our native oak trees provide a unique gardening opportunity. Shade, especially in the afternoon, is necessary for many plants to keep a good appearance and survive the summer heat. Oaks also need compatible plants to help them thrive and live a long life. This workshop will cover oak tree care, selecting and placing compatible plants, soil amendment, planting, watering, pruning and weed control strategies.
